Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale was spotted picking up her daughter, Lily , from school yesterday. She brought their dog along, which I bet was a treat for both the dog and Lily :) Kate is the type of beauty who would look great no matter WHAT she's wearing, isn't she?  

We're guessing little Lil's not like other kids, embarassed by their parents when they come to collect them at the school yard. I mean this girl's got a gorgeous mom - young and hip - she's a famous movie star to boot. And on top of it all, she's got an adorable puppy in her arms!  

Chareth Cutestory sent me this video shot by Greg Williams for Esquire. It might not be the best thing to start your work day with, unless you want to get fired for touching yourself, but I couldn't very well not share it with you either. That would've been totally not cool.  

Making the most of her evening out, Kate Beckinsale was spotted arriving at the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in West Hollywood last night (March 7). The "Serendipity" actress showed off her fabulous fashion sense as she posed outside the Sunset Tower Hotel, sporting a silver one-shoulder dress with matching heels. Last week, Kate opted for a slightly shorter hairdo and headed over to the Byron and Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills to crop her coif.  

Kate's long, luscious, wavy, voluminous hair is gone! Well, she's beautiful and can pull off any hairstyle… but what do you guys think of this shorter do?  

Treating herself to some pampering, Kate Beckinsale was spotted hitting up the Byron and Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills yesterday (March 2). The "Serendipity" actress emerged with a new shorter hairdo in preparation for the upcoming spring season. Meanwhile, Kate's babydaddy Michael Sheen says he's excited for their daughter Lily to see his new flick "Alice in Wonderland," in which he provides the voice for the White Rabbit.  

"They'd gone through this extensive casting process and found this little, tiny person that looked like Drew Barrymore and one like Sam, and he kept saying to me, 'Could Lily please audition?' And I said, 'No, over my dead body.' I thought if she didn't get it she'd come to the set with me and see the child that's playing the young me and she'd make that face like Joan Crawford in the beginning of Baby Jane. But Lily overheard me saying no and was furious. There were like a hundred kids auditioning but she got it, amazingly enough.  

For clarification Mar-mite is the UK version of Aussie Vegemite. In fact Mar-mite is the original and Vegemite was introduced as a cheap substitute! The probably only asked because Kate is a regular at that special UK story in LA.
